Beat Feet Academy of Dance General Terms and Conditions
Conduct
1) Before attending a class, you must have completed an online registration for Beat Feet
Academy of Dance and received confirmation of your class booking.
2) It is a customer’s responsibility to keep the contact details on their Class Manager account up
to date. It is vital that we can always reach an emergency contact whilst a student is at the
Academy.
3) Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated as disruption of classes will hinder other’s
learning.
4) Rude or aggressive behaviour towards a member of staff will not be tolerated. If your
behaviour is deemed to be inappropriate, you will be asked to leave the Academy and any fees
paid will be forfeited.
5) Students must not attend another dance school whilst they are a student at Beat Feet
Academy of Dance.
6) Permission must be granted by the Principal if a student wishes to attend an audition as they
will be representing our company and particular preparation may be required.
Venues
7) Staff are only responsible for pupils during their class and in the hall in which their class is
being delivered. Parents or Guardians should be ready to collect their child at the time their
class finishes.
8) Beat Feet Academy of Dance is not responsible for personal possessions that are damaged or
lost whilst on the premises.
9) All nappies must be taken away with you as our venues do not have the facilities to dispose of
them.
10) Chewing gum is not allowed on the premises.
11) Food and drink is not permitted in the carpeted areas of the school buildings. This is a
Murray Park School rule. Pupils are welcome to bring a drink (non-fizzy) into the hall for their
class.
Payments
12) Class fees are required as a monthly subscription using AutoPay via Class Manager. Class
fees are divided into 12 equally monthly payments regardless of how many classes are in a
month.
13) Upon completion of your trial, you must add a valid debit or credit card to your Class
Manager account for your class subscription.
14) Subscription payments will be charged to your preferred card on the 1st of each calendar
month.
15) The first payment after your trial will include a deposit payment equal to 1 months
subscription, which covers your notice period (e.g monthly subscription £20.00 + deposit £20.00
= £40.00 total in the first month). A deposit payment is only paid when joining a class.
16) Discounts are only available for fees paid on time. Late payments are not eligible for
discounted rates. Autopay ensures that payments are not late. This would only occur if there
were insufficient funds available from the card you have registered or a problem with that card.
17) Payments not received by the 2nd day of the month will result in a further £10.00 charge
being added to the amount due.
18) Subscriptions that remain unpaid by the 9th day of the month will incur a further £10.00 late
payment fee (£20.00 late payment fees in total).
19) If a student is absent, fees will be forfeited and not returned.
Cancellations
20) Your place in a class is reserved for you/your child without the need to book it each half term.
Places will be released if written notice has been received to do so. Please see the process below.
21) If you can no longer commit to your place, please email hello@beatfeetdance.co.uk to release
it. Email requests to release a place received before the 15th of the month will ensure no further
payments are taken. Emails requests to release a place received after the 15th of the month will
mean 1 further monthly payment is taken.
22) We reserve the right to release a place if a subscription payment fails and alterative funds are
not provided.
23) In extreme circumstances (e.g. weather, lockdown, staff illness etc) if a class has to be
cancelled, the lesson will be rearranged for another time either face to face or via the online
Academy (using Zoom). Refunds will not be issued.
Uniform
24) Once a pupil has completed their trial period at the Academy, they are required to wear the
Beat Feet Academy of Dance uniform for all classes. This includes having hair styled in the correct
manner.
25) Uniform is to be purchased from Beat Feet Academy of Dance. Items can be fitted correctly
and checked for size prior to you taking them away.
26) Uniform must clearly have the pupil’s name labelled inside so that the owner can be easily
identified.
27) Jewellery is not to be worn for classes as this is a health and safety hazard. (Small studs may
be worn in pierced ears).
Health
28) By attending a class, you declare that you/your child is well and fit to participate in exercise.
29) If you are returning to classes after injury, illness or pregnancy, you must seek advice from a
health care professional before attending a class.
30) You must not attend the Academy if you have COVID-19. Fees for missed classes will not be
refunded but we will seek to find an alternative option where possible.
31) Anyone arriving later than five minutes after the start of a class may not be permitted entry to
the class for their own safety. Fees for classes when there is late attendance will be forfeited.
Other
32) Trophies presented at the annual prize giving event remain property of Beat Feet Academy of
Dance. They must be returned by the specified date prior to the next prize giving. If you have
damaged or lost a trophy, you will be required to pay Beat Feet Academy of Dance for a
replacement.
33) The Principal’s decision is final.
Failure to adhere to these Terms and Conditions may result in losing your place at the Academy.
